My twin daughters would always bicker and fight and it started getting out of control. They didn’t communicate well and used aggression as their primary means of problem solving. Since enrolling them in Social-Emotional classes, I see a big change in their problem solving skills.

My daughter had a problem with holding grudges for too long without telling people how she felt. When we enrolled her in the classes, she gradually started opening up and being more transparent with her feelings.

Our foster son used to go to “one-on-one” therapy with a counsellor. He didn’t like it and eventually we took him out. Since he started Social Emotional classes, he seems much more motivated to go to these classes. He enjoys the discussions and group activities. We’ve also noticed that he has started applying what he learns at these Classes at home. This was a much needed resource. We thank you very much.

My 12 year old son, tended to be aggressive and insensitive to his siblings and at times even to me. I feared the worst if his temperament didn’t change. The Social Emotional classes has helped him build social skills, deescalate when he finds himself getting angry, control his impulses , negotiate and express his needs in more respectful ways.

The facilitators in the Social Emotional classes are extremely informative and give great feedback on how my child is progressing. It’s good to know that someone is monitoring the particular areas my wife and I were concerned about.

Before my child was enrolled in Social Emotional Classes, he found it difficult to read social cues. He was very passive when he communicated and didn’t seem concerned or aware of how his composure or style of speaking affected other people’s reactions. Today, he has learned to look people in the eye, recognizing its significance, pay attention to faces and body language and speak with more confidence. There’s a change on the inside of him and we couldn’t be happier with these classes.
